With demand for components increasing, buyers must be on the lookout for counterfeit parts. There are several routes to receiving counterfeit parts. For example, a company maybe producing bogus parts using the same basic technology as the bona-fide manufacturer. Likewise, genuine parts that fail manufacturers’ tests are scrapped but somehow make their way back to the supply chain.
