With an operating range of up to 360 deg, Honeywell’s new RPN Hall-Effect rotary position sensors from Aerco are said to offer more choice in position sensing applications.

The RPN range which boasts non-contact operation and low torque actuation, is sealed to IP67 or greater. Sensors are available in five supply voltages from five to 30V and can be pre-set to operate over eight ranges up to the maximum 360 deg, making them compatible with a range of control systems.
They are ideal for detecting position and movement of pedals, throttles, gear shifts, levers and linkages and are said to offer good EMC protection. Applications include off-road, goods and industrial vehicles, cranes and industrial and agriculture equipment.
